The BCCI’s anti-corruption unit (ACU) has imposed a restriction on cricketers for meeting anyone. This restriction will be applicable during the two matches which will be held in Kanpur. It is the first time when ACU imposed a restriction on the direct meeting of people with cricketers during their stay at the hotel. Gujarat Lions will play two matches at the Green Park Stadium on May 10 and May 13.

This step is being taken by BCCI to stop the betting affairs which often leads to fixing. As per the guidelines of the unit, if there is some meeting bound to happen then it should be in the hotel lobby under the supervision of hotel manager.
After taking the charge of Landmark hotel, ACU cross-checked the credentials of the hotel staff. Later they also checked IT equipment of the hotel. ACU has instructed hotel staff that they should maintain the call-log of players and team owners because it will be checked every day.
The ACU will also keep a watch on comments made on social media to ensure that no communication take place by any means. Gujarat Lions are set to take on Delhi daredevils on May 10. Later they will face Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 13.
