Naomi Osaka was asked by Teen Vogue about whom she followed first on Instagram. Her answer didn’t point out any one person.

“The first person I followed on Instagram. It’s a trio of Beyonce, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. Shh, don’t tell anyone, I have burner accounts and I follow them on my burner accounts too. So yeah, they’re like the Holy Trinity.”

Naomi and her love for these artists is easy to understand. All of them are independent women who are also African-American and have proven their mettle to the world. Naomi had described herself as “Black and Asian” in the past which expressed pride towards her identity.
