“Another Fake Plate User”: Lifting World Rebukes Russian Weightlifter’s Insane 440 Lbs Bicep Curls

There are many who indulge in lifting heavy weights on the internet, but sometimes the authenticity of some mammoth lifts is questioned. A similar incident happened with a Russian athlete named Egor Klimonov. A famous Russian athlete, with over 200k followers on Instagram, his love for lifting is reflected on his page. However, his recent reel went viral for the wrong reasons as the fitness enthusiast faced criticism from fitness enthusiasts all over the globe. 

While Klimonov did engage in a 440-pound lift, he had some help to make it easier. Let’s delve deeper and find out what trick the Russian athlete used to make his lift easy.

Klimonov banks on physics

In the video, Klimonov curled 440 pounds, something that many consider humanly impossible. He used a simple physics concept to perform the lift with the help of science. He used a simple pulley system to accomplish the lift. Klimonov tied both ends of the barbell rod with the pully cables to make the lift easy and humanly possible.

Klimonov on the other hand, had the perfect camouflage for using the cables. He stood in front of the mirror and cropped the left side of the video. With it being impossible to notice the stings at first glance, many were fooled by this.

Despite using the pulleys, the lift was still not easy; no mere human could have lifted such a weight. However, instead of praising the Russian athlete for his smarts and immense strength, his fans bashed him for using pulleys.

A fan reveals the “Plot Twist

A follower understood the science behind the trick and explained in the comments, “200 – 100.100 machine weight =0 kg easy lift even small brat can do.” Another commented on how it is impossible for any human to perform such a curl and commented, “This is not real; even Levan and Denis Tsyplenkov, the best arm wrestlers in the world, will not lift.” An Instagram user accused Klimonov of using fake weights and commented, “Dude just confirmed what I thought, another fake plate user.

A fitness enthusiast revealed the trick and said, “Plot twist: he is actually pushing it down.” A fan made a hilarious remark about the Russian athlete using cables and wrote, “Bro is trusting those cables a lil to much.” A serious fitness freak bashed him using cables, warning him, saying, “He use cables on both sides good luck with real lifting.”
