As the finals of the Arnold Classic physique come to an end, four competitors have emerged as the clear favorites for the top five spots. After the individual posing sessions the judges called Ramon Dino, Wesley Vissers, Urs Kalecinski, and Breon Ansley for the first callout. No one was surprised when Defending champions Ramon Dino and Urs Kalecinski took centerstage during the callout. However, things soon changed.

The judges called for the bodybuilders to switch places. While Kalecinski and Dino were the favorites, the underdog Wesley Vissers made his mark. Before the curtains closed on the first callout, the audience was in for another surprise.

Nearly all predictions said that this year would be a repeat of the 2023 Arnold Classic. The majority of fans thought Dino might win again, meanwhile, The Miracle Bear’s fans thought he might have made enough improvements to dethrone the defending champion. However, the dark horse Wesley Vissers made enough improvements to rain on everyone’s expectations.

While the first callout ended with four athletes, the judges called out the Dutch Oak and Ramon Dino once again. The scene echoed the events of the 2022 Mr. Olympia when the judges called Chris Bumstead and Ramon Dino for a head-to-head. The Arnold Classic announcers said that calling out Dino and Vissers yet again meant that they’d place among the top two.

After the first callout, Wesley Vissers closed the door on Urs Kalecinski’s dreams of winning the Arnold Classic Physique title this year. In fact, he threatened to dethrone champion Ramon Dino, and that’s exactly what happened. Wesley Vissers became the new Arnold Classic Physique champion.

The top five Classic Physique bodybuilders at Ohio

While many had correctly predicted the top five Classic Physique bodybuilders, nearly everyone got the order wrong. People thought Wissers would finish in fourth or fifth place going into the contest. They thought Micahel Daboul and Vissers would battle for fourth place. However, after the judges moved the Dutch bodybuilder to the center, all assumptions fell apart.

In the end, Michael Daboul finished in fifth place. Two-time Classic Physique Olympia winner Breon Ansley finished in fourth. Last year’s runner-up, Urs ‘The Miracle Bear’ Kalecinski, finished in third despite winning the best poster award. Finally, defending champion Ramon Dino had to settle for second place, while Vissers was crowned the new champion.
