Bodybuilding coach and fitness influencer Marc Lobliner is about to end 2023 with a new personal record. The competitive bodybuilder achieved the unprecedented strength goal of performing 2o reps while pressing a combined weight of 130 lbs. Lobliner used 65 lbs dumbbells, and his bother Aaron Lobliner was there to spot him. The entrepreneur also had a specific reason for trying to hit a PR at the end of the year.

The Chief Marketing ambassador of Tiger Fitness admitted that he doesn’t often attempt such feats of strength. In fact, the bodybuilder advises others to take the safe approach and perform slow, controlled reps, with weights they can manage. Yet, Lobliner went all out for his PR attempt and had an inspiring message for fans.

The competitive bodybuilder asked his Instagram followers to share their “DB Bench PR in the comments so we know what to beat in 2024!” The 43-year-old explained that he has felt good about his fitness and strength lately. The bodybuilder said his brother, Aron, has pushed him to do better in the gym. “We need to move near each other again soon!” said Lobliner.

Marc Lobliner also confessed that he felt he needed to “let it rip,” and thus attempted the PR. The video showed Lobliner taking a whiff of some smelling salts to get pumped for the PR attempt. Loblner’s brother and the woman behind the camera encouraged him as he sat on the bench with the two massive 65-lb dumbbells. The bodybuilding coach then began doing clean reps.

Despite straining to get the last few reps, the 43-year-old’s form remained intact even on the 20th rep. Fans and fitness enthusiasts responded with their PRs in the comments section.

Bodybuilding enthusiasts revealed their best lifts

Lobliner’s followers wrote about their heaviest dumbbell benchpress attempts. “12 @ 120 (lbs)… Was the biggest available, lol!” wrote one fan. Another fan achieved “125 (lbs) x 22 (reps).” The fan added that he needs to hit “30 (reps) in 2024.” One fan commented that he surpassed Lobliner in weight but only did half as many reps.

“150 for 10 I think…” the fan wrote. However, he said that he was “proud” to have set the PR. Yet, not everyone wrote their lifting stats in the comments. “Unbelievable strength!!!” wrote one fan. Meanwhile, another fan encouraged Lobliner to set a new PR in 2024. “Let’s Go!!! 2024 gonna be lit!” the fan commented.
