The ‘Nigerian Lion’ had to face a lot of hardships and get where he is today. When Samson got into the fitness world, he did not know about bodybuilding. All he knew was that he wanted a body like Phil Heath’s and that he wanted to get into this world.

With efforts and support, Dauda made a name for himself and also gathered a huge fanbase. In recent times, Samson had one of his proudest victories this year and he gets absolutely emotional seeing his fan’s reactions to the same.

What was the special victory for Dauda?

The Nigerian Lion recently bagged the first position in the Arnold Classic 2023. Sharing a video of the prep on his Instagram account he said, “If you grew up poor, you developed a little something different. I like the guys who start that way. I am not the greatest. I wanna be the greatest. And I am willing to put in the time and effort. And I feel like those guys have a lot of substances in their souls. Overcome adversity with that kind of attitude. I call it poor man’s mentality.”

Samson is a believer in hard work. The bodybuilder has now become an integral name in the sport and is the number 1 inspiration for the youth who aspire to become bodybuilders. The video was shared by a page called Makaveli_motivation and it shows Dauda’s different stages of prep.

In the video that has been reshared on Instagram, Samson Dauda also takes up to the comments and says, “Damn bro…thank you this brought tears to my eyes”. He gets emotional at the amount of love and respect that he has been receiving. One of his fans also commented, “This guy is the future of Olympia.”

After his win in the 2023 Arnold Classic, Samson sure has gained a lot of confidence. The man who earlier thought himself to be underrated is now in the limelight and he knows the pressure of the attention. The Nigerian Lion, after bagging his first greatest victory is now set on winning the title of Mr. Olympia this year.
