In his latest video, he spoke about a popular breakfast food. However, Chuck Kirkendall, aka Kali Muscle, specifically focused on a breakfast he consumed “every day as a kid.” Yet, now at 48, the bodybuilder had a very different opinion on this childhood favorite. In fact, he wanted parents to keep their children away from Eggos, frozen waffles inspired by the Belgian dish.

The video began with Kali Muscle taking a box of Eggo Waffles from the fridge in a store. The bodybuilder wanted to show people that no matter how attractive the box might look, the real information was printed on the back. “I used to eat these by the boatload,” said Kali Muscle before reading the ingredients.

“Flour, vegetable oil… soybean, palm, canola (oil)… Oh! that’ll kill you,” said the bodybuilding enthusiast. The pack also contained ingredients, like “buttermilk, baking soda, sodium aluminum phosphate,” and more. However, the refined flour and various processed oils rang alarm bells in Kirkendall’s mind.

“Do not feed your kid this. Whatever you do man, don’t feed your kids these Eggos,” said the fitness influencer. Many do echo similar concerns of that of Muscle. The Environmental Working Group has frozen waffles on the list of highly concerning foods. Even they have pointed out the ingredients and additives used in the waffles, like palm oil and high sugar content.

That being said, despite creating awareness about processed food and its effects, Kali Muscle himself has garnered criticism regarding his diet.

The raw fruit diets of Kali Muscle

Netizens have recently majorly criticized the bodybuilder for his often eccentric diet. The bodybuilding enthusiast has periodically taken his diet to the absolute extreme by consuming just fruit. Recently, the fitness influencer ate nothing but watermelon for seven days and then followed it up with a pineapple diet.

Yet, these are not the most extreme ones. In between these raw fruit diets, Kirkendall went off on a water fast. Naturally, Kali Muscle lost a lot of muscle and body weight as a result of these attempts. This is what has irked fans. However, after his most recent apple fast, it seems like the 48-year-old has given a break to his extreme diet.
