Controlling your cravings and keeping your mind focused while working out is not as difficult as it seems to be. People often make countless excuses for not working out and use this as one of the most common excuses to slack off. But not anymore. 43-year-old IFBB pro Marc Lobliner is here to tell you how to keep going and not blame your mental health.

The IFBB Pro recently uploaded a video on his official YouTube channel, Tiger Fitness, highlighting how therapists can make you mentally weak. Lobliner also gave the example of a famous and successful NBA athlete as an inspiration to keep you going and what makes him better than normal people. Let’s find out what the IFBB Pro has to say.

The 43-year-old pro highlighted that psychiatric therapy might not be helping people the way it should. He mentioned that people are becoming fragile with each passing day and said, “People complain I’m too weak for this. I’m too weak for that, and the therapist is like, Oh, I understand. I understand you’re weak. I honestly have more faith in the human body and the human brain than most therapists or any therapist I’ve ever met.”

Lobliner shed light on the fact that the human brain is strong and we have enough willpower to think, “If we don’t want to do something, we could just do it.” He took the example of NBA legend Kobe Bryant and said, “You think Kobe woke up every day wanting to train? The alarm goes off at 3:00 a.m. He’s just like, dude, I want to sleep, but he knows that to get to that goal that he needs to do it.”

Continuing further, the IFBB Pro highlighted that, at the end of the day, hours of practice are what make us better than others and keep us motivated toward our goals. Lobliner gives straightforward advice to those who ask him how he is managing all this. He says, “You can too; you just need to believe in yourself and believe in the human mind and the human body, and the human spirit.” Despite retiring from bodybuilding, the 43-year-old pro still keeps up with his training. Earlier, he disclosed his reasons why he still trains.

Lobliner shares the reason why he still trains despite his retirement

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel previously, the IFFB Pro disclosed his two reasons for his training. The number one reason he trains is to stay healthy, even in old age. He is primarily focusing on his cardiovascular health. “How do a lot of old people die well? They fall and they break their hip and if you can’t move, you can’t exercise,” explained Lobliner.

Continuing further in the video, he said, “Which means you can’t get the first two benefits I was talking about. That’s why I’m sure to do, you know, single leg reps, a lot of single leg movements a lot of balance activities.” The second reason the IFBB Pro trains is for his brain. He mentioned lacking mental acuity even if he skips a single day of gym.
