Bodybuilding is a challenging sport that demands both physical and mental strength. Even when athletes try their best, things don’t go as planned. The occurrence of injuries and other health issues made it impossible to achieve their goals. In an unfortunate turn of events, a strong contender for Mr. Olympia has abolished his name before the main event. This news shattered many bodybuilding legends like Jay Cutler, IFBB pro-coach Milos Sarcev, and Manager Matt.

IFBB pro bodybuilder Brett Wilkin, who’s been preparing to get a coveted title, announced his withdrawal due to his health condition. This is not the first name that shocked the entire bodybuilding community this year. Before Wilkin, Big Ramy, one of the toughest competitors, also withdrew his name, and Chris Bumstead’s brother-in-law, Iain Valliere, announced his retirement from the competitive sphere.

It was a tough decision for him, too. The Butcher took to his Instagram to make this public that he’s not competing this year because of a serious health issue. He told in his IG post he had not trained for almost two weeks.

Because of a digestive problem, he had to back out

In his detailed video, he confessed, “I will not be competing at the Mr. Olympia here in four weeks’ time. Probably the worst thing I can say because I’ve spent the last now. It’s been a year, you know, preparing for this moment, this weekend coming ahead.

To make things worse, he has vomiting and “diarrhea issues.” He added, “I was vomiting, you know, a meal or two a day, which I would then try to replace. I was nauseous, I was dizzy.” Regardless of having the best physique because of a bizarre health condition, the strongest have to back out from the prestigious event.
