This year something surprising happened in the world of bodybuilding before Mr. Olympia 2023 event. Many male and female bodybuilders withdrew, much to the surprise of us all. The Olympia is a prestigious event started by Joe Weider, back in 1965. Arnold Schwarzenegger helped make it a mainstream sport, and everybody had dreamt of winning this coveted title once. The hardest part is when they prepare and sacrifice everything to be a part of this event, and some unfortunate incident forces you to back out from it, breaking the athlete’s heart.

Nick ‘the Mutant’ Walker, who lost the previous year’s competition to Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford, made a promise to himself that he would win this year. However, just a day before, Walker announced the devastating news that he would not take part in this year’s contest due to injury. Later on, he shared a video of him sitting in a wheelchair.

The IFBB pro’s latest Instagram post disheartened his fans and followers around the world. He captioned this reel video, “Making the best of it.” He’s showing his mental strength during this difficult time. Because Olympia is scheduled on 2nd November. It must be killing him inside that despite coming this close to performing on the prestigious stage, he won’t be able to do that anymore.
