Eddie Hall, the winner of the 2017 World’s Strongest Man competition, set the bar pretty high in the bodybuilding world.

However, he has been through several injuries that became a hurdle in his fitness journey. Hall never let any of it come in the way and continued following his passion with unwavering determination. However, despite his love for the sport and his sheer dedication, the fitness world slammed him into ‘fake lifting’ in his recent video.

Strongman Eddie Hall recently took to his Instagram and posted a thread on his wall. The first was a picture of himself getting ready to pull out a 420 kg deadlift and the second was a video of himself carrying out two slightly clean reps using the same. In the second video, he was seen smelling EASS to activate his hormones before lifting. Eddie Hall’s monumental lift of 1102 lbs was a clear sign of him getting back in the game. The sheer magnitude of the achievement cannot be understated. However, the post raised a huge argument on the Internet. While he received a lot of appreciation from his followers, there were a lot of critics too. His death-defying stunt made some of his followers backlash and the comments section turned out to get pretty ugly with their criticism.

Fans criticizing Eddie Hall’s 420 kg lift

Eddie Hall’s 420 kg deadlift made the fans think that the video was edited and that he was pulling out a fake deadlift just for the gram. One of them bluntly wrote, “Fake deadlift”. Another follower accusing him of using foam wrote, “Ya fuckin right Eddie, half those are foam lol”. A man also said that Hall was also using ‘fake plates’ to pull out the deadlift.

While some fans were taking Hall’s side and appreciating him for his comeback, stating that a man who lifted 500 kg once, can easily lift 420 kg.
