The Mr. Olympia is one of the most prestigious and decorated shows when it comes to the world of bodybuilding, and the participants give their all to take back the title with them. However, just like any other competition, there can only be one winner, and this year it was Derek Lunsford who took home the prestigious prize.

Hadi Choopan was defeated by him, getting dethroned and well, it obviously is disappointing, however, he displayed an act of poor sportsmanship on the stage. The moment Lunsford was announced the winner, Choopan rushed out of the stage with his silver medal in hand. He faced a lot of criticism for it. Even veteran bodybuilding legends recently analyzed the whole incident.

One of the latest episodes from the podcast of The Muscle Maturity was posted on YouTube where legendary Bodybuilders Samir Bannour and John Hansen were seen talking about the entire execution and the process of the Olympia this year. They came to the part where Hadi Choopan pulled off the anger stunt.

Samir Bannout said that Choopan deserved a warning, just like he will be given one, reminding him that the time incident should never be repeated again. He went on to highlight how he completely understands what the rage is about, but however, under any circumstances that is no way right.

Remembering a past incident, Hansen added, “Remember when Arnold lost to Sergio at the 1969 Mr. Olympia? What did Arnold do? He wrapped his arms around him, he kissed him on the cheek, you know, held his arm up and what happened the next year? Arnold won right?” Now the question is, what is the action being taken this year on Choopan?

Will the Persian wolf be suspended?

In the latest Rx Muscle YouTube video, King Kamali stated that the IFBB Pro League President, Jim Manion is planning to suspend Hadi Choopan for his unprofessional behavior. He said that he spoke to him and they had a nice conversation talking about everything else and that was when Hadi Choopan’s incident came up and he was clearly not happy about what happened.

King Kamali said, “I’m not going to go in-depth with the conversation, when Bob and I talk to each other, just like when me and you Dave talk to each other, but I can say, Jimmy is not happy. He’s not. I think there might be some suspension or something that’s going to come down because if you don’t put your foot down in certain situations, you’re going to send a bad message.”
