The five-time, three weight division world champ Gervonta Davis and his arch-rival Ryan Garcia, who previously held WBC interim lightweight title will settle their long ongoing beef when they will finally meet on Saturday, April 22 under the glittering lights of T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas in a grudge match with Davis’ WBA lightweight title on the line. Before this highly intense mega showdown, the duo hosted two major press conferences in the prime location of New York City and California and addressed the masses with a promise that they will bring in a firework that will be iconic in boxing history.
Their back-and-forth exemplified it and created such hype that the fighting fans bought all tickets as soon as the sale gates opened. Overall, the mental warfare in the presser remained exciting. Both the fighters had a lot of grudges, which they unleashed in front of the media and fans. Davis, who appeared lagging behind in the verbal exchange, tried to exert pressure during face off by swinging his fist at Garcia’s chin.
