Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. proved to everyone that he still can compete at a high level even with age catching up to him. The 46-year-old faced Aaron Chalmers in an exhibition bout at the O2 Arean in London, also making his long-awaited UK debut. However, what fans got to witness was a lackluster event with empty seats in the arena on the day of the fight. Moreover, the former five-division world champion’s attitude towards this fight didn’t receive quite a welcome from the fans.

Despite many criticizing ‘TBE’ for competing in exhibitions since retiring from professional boxing in 2017, he still faced Chalmers with the same concept that he had churned out in his previous exhibitions. However, in this fight, he seemed a little too relaxed, even for his standards as he took an unexpected approach towards resting in between rounds.

The fans were certainly not impressed by any of the performances in this event which was filled with confusion. However, this could be a wake-up call for Mayweather to change his approach towards these exhibition fights as fans didn’t seem eager to tune in to see him this time around. This could be seen clearly with the low number of audience present in the arena and low PPV predictions, combined with the lackluster bouts that followed.
