Devin Haney Makes a Wild Claim – Compares Himself to ‘Pretty Boy’ Floyd Mayweather
Follow Us
WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney billed himself as a reincarnation of Floyd Mayweather and compared his 25 fight resume with Mayweather’s 50-0 record. Both Mayweather and Haney became world champions at an early age and are undefeated.
While Mayweather has dominated the boxing world for over two decades, Haney is similarly leaving his mark on the lightweight division. However, it’s still too early to contrast himself with a five-division world champion.
That said, Devin Haney tagged himself as the ‘pretty Boy’ Floyd Mayweather, which was Mayweather’s in-ring persona in the earlier days. Before becoming ‘Money May’, Floyd Mayweather was the young ‘Pretty Boy’ who amazed the whole boxing world with his skills. He was tactical, defensive, and seemed inevitable inside the ring.
