Floyd Mayweather competed in his fifth exhibition bout against YouTube sensation Deji on November 13. Although the bout was an exhibition, Mayweather dominated the proceedings, ending the British YouTuber in the sixth round. However, Deji managed to land one punch on the former five-division champ.

The punch even gave Mayweather a black eye, which has been the topic of discussion among fans. Moreover, Deji was also quick to point out that he had injured one of the best boxers as he took to Twitter to claim his glory. “I gave Floyd a black eye” he wrote.

However, undisputed female middleweight champion Claressa Shields responded to Deji as she uploaded a video featuring Mayweather. The two can be seen laughing after Mayweather trolled the people who claimed that Deji landed a punch on him. “You know what’s so crazy They said the headlines was Floyd Mayweather got a black eye….. and got a cold bank roll.’ Mayweather said in the video. Shields reacted to this video, posting it on her Twitter handle with the caption. “lol @ Deji”

It doesn’t come as a surprise that Shields came out in support of ‘Money‘. The two share the same home state of Michigan and also have a great professional relationship. Moreover, the two hold each other in very high regard given that they are two of the best to ever do it,

Claressa Shields praises Floyd Mayweather after a training session together

Back in January, Mayweather visited the ‘GWOAT’ before her fight with Ema Kozin in February. The two then went on to have a training session together, which made Shields praise the former champ. She stated that Mayweather got her out of her comfort zone, which was necessary for her to evolve as a fighter.

If I had to use one word for this camp, it would be: uncomfortable. I made sure that I got out of my comfort zone for this fight. I’m making sure that I have all my tools and going to the Mayweather Boxing Club has really sharpened those tools.” She said.

Shields would go on to beat Kozin and retain her middleweight titles. She would also lay claim to the undisputed title after beating Savannah Marshall in a women’s boxing card in October.
