Ryan Garcia put one of the most exhilarating shows against Luke Campbell on January 2. ‘King Ry’ won this cracker of a contest by KO in round 7. Post this fight, he was expected to be in line to fight Gervonta Davis. But ‘Tank’ issued a fierce statement to the WBC Interim champion even before they verbally entered a fight deal.

Garcia received immense praise for his performance against Campbell, but on the flip side, he was at the receiving end of a bit of backlash too. ‘Cool hand’ dropped Garcia in just the second round of the fight wherein he struck the American with a huge left hook.

This was the first time Garcia went to his knees in his decorated boxing career.

‘King Ry’ and ‘Tank’ have called each other out on enormous occasions. Although Garcia won his Saturday night bout, he is fairly cited as an underdog leading up to his bout against ‘Tank’.

Many boxing enthusiasts and experts believe Davis will terrify Garcia if they ever step inside the ring together.

How will Ryan Garcia fare in his bout against Gervonta Davis?

Garcia and Davis are undeniably the two biggest names of modern-day lightweight boxing. The pair exhibits a difficult to beat prowess, and that is why they’ve risen to stardom. But the big question is, how will Ryan Garcia fare if the duo ever steps inside the ring together?

Garcia has cosmic speed coupled with serious knockout power. He likes to dominate his opponent right from the first gong. But facing Davis will require much more than this. ‘KingRy’s’ Saturday night performance against Campbell showed a bit of weakness in his game plan.

Davis is one smart fighter and petrifies his opponents by capitalizing on their weaknesses. ‘King Ry’ will have to polish up on the same to be able to give ‘Tank’ a tough test.
