The former five-weight division champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. was the first person to defeat the hard-hitting Mexican great Canelo Alvarez. Mayweather was boasting an undefeated 44-0 record and managed to drop the best pound-for-pound fighter at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The fight was highly anticipated as Alvarez was seen as the threat to Mayweather’s throne at such a young age. Unfortunately, he could not mold his destiny but he succeeded in delighting fans and earning Mayweather’s respect.

As of now, he is the undisputed super-middleweight champion and proud Mayweather’s rival who often takes shots at the latter’s legacy. So when recently Mayweather’s picture with his bitter rivals surfaced on Facebook, boxing fans trolled Mayweather. In the picture, ‘The Pretty Boy’ in full black attire appeared with the Smith brothers. The British boxing family from Liverpool which to date has produced two world champions, Liam Smith and Callum Smith. Both of them have faced Canelo in the past and took bad punishment.

The four-weight division champ went head-to-head with Liam Smith, the eldest of four brothers in September 2016 and knocked him out clinching the WBO light-middleweight title. One year later, when Canelo moved up in weight class, he locked horns with then-undefeated WBA and the Ring super-middleweight champion Callum Smith.

Though Smith was at a heavy physical advantage, he could not land even a single impressive punch and lost the fight via decision. The memory of this past refreshed when the picture circulated on the internet. A page named ‘Team Smith Brothers Boxing’ shared it and wrote, “When the smith brothers met Floyd Mayweather!”
