Ahead of their upcoming heavyweight clash on May 1, Chris Arreola has nothing but respect for his opponent, Andy Ruiz Jr. The duo have been former training partners and are well aware of each other’s prowess.

Coming into their nearing clash, Ruiz Jr. is now under Eddy Reynoso’s camp and has the experience of winning a world championship in his career. Hence, former title contender Chris Arreola is clearly the underdog. While he will have his valid chances inside the ring, ‘The Nightmare’ connected with PBC on Fox and revealed some interesting abilities of Ruiz’s game that will keep him on his toes.

The 40-year-old has named the top four heavyweights of the roster and has put Ruiz Jr. into his rankings. Arreola hailed Tyson Fury as the best and billed Anthony Joshua as the second-best heavyweight of the time. He further picked Deontay Wilder in the third and Andy Ruiz Jr. in the fourth. While speaking about ‘The Destroyer’, Arreola revealed the most alluring aspects.

“His hand speed, and the fact that he has the order to keep going, and he doesn’t care if he gets dropped. He doesn’t care if he gets hit, he is gonna keep coming,” said Chris Arreola.

Meanwhile, Andy Ruiz Jr. seems ready to go in and defeat Chris Arreola in the coming days. The winner of the fight will be entitled to take a step closer to the championship bout. Thus, both pugilists will seemingly give it their all as they seek to rise to the top.

Both men had their last professional fights in 2019 and were on the losing side. While Andy Ruiz Jr lost his heavyweight straps to Anthony Joshua, Chris Arreola lost a 12-rounds battle via unanimous decision against Adam Kownacki.
