Ryan Garcia did everything possible to bag a super fight against Manny Pacquiao after his WBC interim lightweight title win against Luke Campbell. He openly touted the fight and even called it an official statement. However, the matchup isn’t happening and Garcia has confirmed it from his end.

Following several contractual turmoils, Ryan Garcia has moved on from the challenge and is currently setting up a new matchup for himself. Although he was adamant about facing ‘Pac-Man’, due to some unrevealed reasons, the young champion has sacrificed his desire.

He posted his statement on Instagram and clarified that the fight is out of the charts now. Here’s a look at what Ryan Garcia wrote on his social media handle.

This opens up the path for his lightweight title fight against WBA champion Gervonta Davis, which was Garcia’s primary aim. Before turning his attention towards Pacquaio, ‘KingRy’ had called out ‘Tank’. So, the lightweight matchup can revive its form once again, considering that Pacquaio vs Garcia isn’t happening now.

What’s next for Ryan Garcia and Manny Pacquiao?

Already an eight-division champion, Pacquaio still has a few more fights left. That said, he has expressed a desire to return and face Terence Crawford for the WBO title. It is reported that Pacquaio has also demanded $40 million for a possible fight against ‘Bud’.
