“I Met Her and…”: Evander Holyfield Confesses Having a Kid With Other Woman While He Was Dating this Renowned Hollywood Actress

Evander Holyfield has lived an interesting life, to say the least. The legendary heavyweight champion stumbled upon boxing at a young age. After years of hard work, the boxer grew out of poverty by making a name for himself. However, even after making it to the Olympics, Holyfield was susceptible to controversies. One of them deals with the romantic side of his life.

In a recent interview, Holyfield weighed in on dating a renowned Hollywood actress while having offspring with another woman. Decades later, the Hollywood actress recalls their split and the retired boxer shares his opinion.

Back in 1984, Evander Holyfield competed in the Olympics as a light heavyweight a won a bronze medal, which became the catalyst for exposing him to fame and glory. During this period, the boxing legend encountered a renowned Hollywood actress, A.J. Johnson, who went on to star in successful films like House Party and Baby Boy.

However, their relationship did not last long. In a recent interview with djvlad, Johnson acknowledged that she was captivated by Holyfield at first and the two were compatible for a while. But their relationship came to a halt after she found out Holyfield had children with other women. While recounting his relationship with her, Holyfield described how he felt around Johnson.

He said, “Me being from Atlanta and like this and the art with me was to give my very best in everything I was going to do to be successful. Of course, meeting her, she was hot. Highly educated. I’m just Evander Holyfield, who went to the Olympics and everybody like that. That’s how I met her and started talking and things like that.”

In the interview, Holyfield does not address the reason behind their relationship coming to a halt. But unlike him, Johnson was vocal about it and made it clear that as a monogamous woman, she could not tolerate him having offspring with someone else.

Interestingly, while that particular relationship with a woman didn’t work out, there is one woman who has been a pillar of support for him.

…or so the saying goes. Holyfield’s romantic relationships ended in troubled waters but when it comes to family, there is one important woman in his life who supports him no matter what. Holyfield’s mother played a pivotal role in shaping his mentality. In the same interview, he unveils that his mother found him crying when he was young. However, she asked him to be accountable and refrain from showing any form of vulnerability.

He stated, “You got to put something in it. So, my mama stopped me from crying at a younger age and said you got to stop all these tears. These tears don’t help you. Everybody cry but you don’t have to cry in front of nobody.”
