Mike Tyson stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live ahead of his comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr. set for November 28. ‘Iron’ Mike was in good spirits as the countdown to his fight kicks off in earnest. Tyson looks to be in phenomenal shape despite the fact that he’s now pushing 55.

Fellow icon Roy Jones Jr. is 51 himself; however, he was competing as recently as 2018. Both the aforementioned legends were slated to fight in their primes, but the bout failed to materialize. What’s more, there isn’t much pushback from the fans regarding the age of the fighters involved considering that they look to be in phenomenal shape.

Mike Tyson on what really motivates him

The 54-year-old boxing legend was asked about the manner in which he planned to spend his $10 million fight purse. Mike was quick to jump in and explain his side of things regarding his current motivation to still train and compete. He detailed that he now fights to give back to others, and money isn’t the motivator that it once was.

“Hey! I don’t know nothing about money. I told my wife about this I don’t want no money. Take that money, that belongs to them. This is not my life no more. I’m here to try to make things happen and make this a better place man. I’m gonna die with a good conscience man.”

‘Iron’ Mike: Onward and upward

Chiefly, anyone who’s followed Tyson’s post-boxing career would have witnessed a huge transformation in his outlook. The real Mike was introduced to fans through his podcast ‘Hot Boxin’ that gave a new dimension to his personality. Not to mention, appearances on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ confirmed that he’s focused on competition and giving back to others.
