Recently, Jake Paul and UFC champion Conor McGregor have been in a social media war. Both of them have insulted each other over the past few days. Apparently, Paul mentioned in an interview that he wanted to fight the Irishman. This was followed by McGregor berating Paul on Twitter. Amidst this, Paul posted a video on Instagram where he is mocking the UFC star. He mentioned, “Tyron Woodley 2, nobody even wanted to see that fight. And we got 200k pay-per-view buys.”

Apparently, Paul came clean on the fact that nobody wanted to see his rematch with Woodley. He also stated that it received 200k PPV buys. However, DAZN News writer, Steven Muehlhausen shared in a tweet,Sources: Have learned that Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley 2 “bombed” on cable/satelitte PPV. Numbers are below November’s #AEW Full Gear which did under 65,000 buys on terrestrial TV. Streaming numbers are unknown.”

Although the stats are questionable, it is certain that the fight was a fiasco in terms of PPV buys. The rematch between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley took place in December. The former was supposed to fight Tommy Fury, but he pulled out of the fight due to an injury. Woodley came in as a replacement, and Paul knocked him out, emerging as the winner.

While talking on the MMAFightingonSBN show, Paul put forth his thoughts on fighting McGregor. He stated, “For me fighting a couple more times, continuing to knock some people out and he has to get active again. You know, who knows when that’s going to happen? So, I think those two things need to happen, and then at some point it’s gonna happen. You know, why not? He’s a businessman, I’m a businessman, and that’s you know 75-100 million dollars for both of us.”
