There have been 50 men who have faced boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in the ring before he retired from his professional boxing career. However, there has been no man who has even beaten the former five-division champion. Many people criticize Mayweather for not facing the same opponent twice but this is factually false as there have been five people who ‘TBE’ has faced twice in his professional boxing career.

Moreover, there is one man who might have given ‘Money’ the hardest time of his career than former 2 division champion, Marcos Maidana. The two have fought twice in their professional boxing careers, with Mayweather winning both fights. Their first fight took place on May 3, 2014, when the two fought in a closely contested battle. Although Money would get the victory, many argued that the Argentine had done enough to break Mayweather’s undefeated record. This was the reason a rematch was booked for the two.

They would meet again on September 13, 2014. However, this time Mayweather made adjustments to his strategy and was able to dominate Maidana, winning a unanimous decision. Despite the two fights being competitive, there was not much of a personal rivalry between the two. They both showed respect for each other and have never had any beef outside the ring. This might be the reason why they were more than happy to meet each other in Dubai for the Hardcore boxing tournament.
