August 6 is going to be a big day in Jake Paul’s boxing career when he will face his former sparring partner and son of heavyweight legend Hasim Rahman Jr. at Madison Square Garden, New York. Ahead of this highly anticipated contest, the duo put forth a heated exchange at a press conference on Saturday. Where the heavyweight pugilist extolled his boxing skills and dropped a huge truth bomb on Logan Paul while discussing his previous sparring session with the Paul brothers.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Rahman Jr. said, “I literally walked him through it. Logan almost got his head taken off by Joey Dawejko and then Jake got in the ring with me and Joey had already sparred, so it’s always a handicap with Jake. Me and Joey had already went like six-eight rounds, then Logan and Joey spar and Logan almost got his head taken off by Joey like I said.”

Next, he targeted ‘The Problem Child’ by labeling him a ‘YouTuber’ and denied accepting the fact that Paul had trained hard to become a professional boxer. According to Rahman Jr, the 5-0 boxer is not a real boxer. He’s a content creator.

In an interview with CBS New York, the Ohio-based boxer admitted that it’s just not only a professional contest. It is a personal grudge that he would settle on August 6. He recalled the offending remarks of Rahman Jr. which the latter made two years back during a sparring session.

According to Paul, Rahman Jr. humiliated him and attacked him, saying that he would never be a professional boxer. Now, when Paul considers himself better than Rahman Jr., he wanted to show that in the ring.
