WBA super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez is finally returning to action this year against Callum Smith on December 19. Following a massive turmoil with his former promoters, Canelo has remained inactive for a long time.
However, the Mexican gladiator has thrilled his fans by announcing his comeback plans. It is even better since he has opted for an undefeated prodigy like Smith as his opponent. The Liverpool native has 27 wins and 19 knockouts under his name and will pose some serious threats for Alvarez.
That said, fans can witness the thriller live from the Alamodome Stadium. Although fans are already back to the boxing matches, there are still plenty of safety measures being taken.

Reporter Michael Benson tweeted, “Canelo Alvarez vs Callum Smith will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Dec 19th. Limited fans allowed as they were for Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz there last month.”
The news will thrill fight fans all over as they will be eager to see the boxing legends duke it out in person.
