The Filipino Senator, Manny Pacquiao, finally seems ready to return to action in a welterweight title clash against Errol Spence Jr. in July. The fight is still to receive an official confirmation, but both sides have begun negotiating and we can see them collide in the States.

‘Pac-Man’ was stripped of his WBA welterweight title after a long hiatus from the ring since 2019. So, he can regain himself as a world champion by beating ‘The Truth’ for the WBC and IBF straps. Manny Pacquiao was reportedly hunting for a title showdown on his comeback, and with Errol Spence Jr. as his opponent, the boxing world can expect a close collision.

Michael Benson took to Twitter and revealed ESPN Knockout’s confirmation regarding the official developments in Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence Jr.

Initially, Pacquiao was supposed to meet WBO champion, Terence Crawford. The two even touted UAE as a host to their fight. However, it faded away with time and ‘Bud’ may not box either Manny Pacquiao or Errol Spence Jr.

Although boxing fans have thoroughly demanded a 147 lbs unification battle, it may not take place anytime soon. Thus, Pacquiao vs Spence Jr. may be the most viable matchup available at the welterweight roster for the time.
