Following umpteen highs and lows, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua seem to have found the official date for their in-ring collision. While several people continue to doubt the future of the fight, the recent developments to the matchup have sent the whole combat community into a frenzy.

Akin to the past reports, the new ones also state that the fight will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The date will be August 14, as Joshua’s coach will be by his boxer’s side after the Olympics. Per Michael Benson’s tweet, official matchmakers will announce the date and venue by the end of this week.

Akin to several fantasy matchups, fans have constantly demanded to see Tyson Fury collide against Anthony Joshua for years. Hailing from the UK, they also had their home country’s support and the potential to stage the biggest fight ever in world boxing. Thus, it seems to be the right time to put them inside the squared circle.

The heavyweight division has several elites and mandatory challengers on board. So, Fury and Joshua need to fight each other to keep the division running, allowing the mandatory challengers to earn their shot at the belt.

Both Fury and Joshua currently reign over the heavyweight division. Tyson Fury holds the WBC title and Joshua has got the hold of WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles. In their potential collision, they will put all the titles on the line to determine the ultimate undisputed champion of the division.

Lennox Lewis was the last champion to have held all four heavyweight belts simultaneously. Hence, Fury and Joshua can possibly carry forward the legacy and bring all the heavyweight belts in the UK once again. Moreover, Tyson Fury will also put his unbeaten record on the line.
