The New Jersey native began his amateur career in 2011. In his first two fights itself, Stevenson ended up on the losing vertical. But he got back on track with two wins in a row. Later, he experienced a setback when he again suffered a loss after his two wins.

However, he collected himself again and worked on his aggressive fight skills. As a result, he kept winning every fight. Years later, in 2015, he contracted two more defeats. Regardless of the highs and lows in his amateur career, ‘Fearless’ always had his vision set on learning from every boxing bout.
