Terence Crawford initially didn’t want to fight Canelo Alvarez because of their significant weight differences. In his last fight against Errol Spence Jr., Crawford weighed 146¾ lbs. In contrast, Alvarez was 20 lbs heavier in his match against John Ryder. This made Crawford think of fighting Jermell Charlo instead. But recently on The Breakfast Club, Crawford said he’d fight Alvarez at a catchweight, suggesting 158-60 lbs.
