The BKFC’s ‘King of Violence’ has spoken about one of his specialties. With a granite chin and his famed knockout power, he was able to finish UFC legends like Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez. Now, The 5-0 BKFC fighter will be lacing up the boxing gloves on his deadly fists. He will be going up against Jake Paul on July 20th in Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. An apt replacement for another KO artist like Mike Tyson? Although, a menace in bare-knuckle fighting, his maiden professional boxing match ended in a disaster. He was knocked spark out by Kenneth McNeil. But, a loss on his record wouldn’t break a fighting man like Perry’s resolve.

Ahead of the eight-round bout at Cruiserweight against ‘The Problem Child’, ‘The Platinum’ made his intentions clear: “I want to ruin Jake’s face”. With a reputation that precedes him, Perry explained in an interview what delivering a KO feels like.

A visceral reaction!

In a video posted by Jake Paul’s promotional company Most Valuable Promotions, the interviewer asked Mike Perry, “You like the feeling of knocking somebody out. What does it feel like in your body?” Perry replied, “It feels like you are on point. You just give it everything you got.”

He told the interviewer that a KO “becomes a moment of relief”, from all the tension and the nerves that build up during the fight. Then, as if he could feel a knockout coming in his upcoming fight, he went on to describe the moment when he could sense that it would be lights out for his opponent.

“Sometimes in the fight, you try to find the air,” Perry said while mimicking a heavy-breathing scenario during a fight. “I like to get all up in my opponent’s ear. You hear that. You hear that boy I am breathing. I am breathing in your ear. And then you punch em bang, they crumble,” he said menacingly.

A daunting message for Jake Paul, indeed! Safe to say, it would be a grievous mistake to take Perry lightly. What if he pulls off a massive upset against Paul?

Age is just a number?

More boxing matches is something Mike Perry would be looking forward to in the future. And, he has expressed the desire to fight the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’  Mike Tyson himself, if he defeats Jake Paul in his upcoming bout. The bragging rights of defeating ‘The Problem Child’ would definitely put him in a pole position to replace Paul as Tyson’s next opponent.

“Yes absolutely. of course man, of course! I’m thinking about that, you know, I would definitely do it. Because the comments can be negative already anyway, so what are they gonna say? ‘Oh now you’re gonna fight the old guy’. They could say whatever comments, the internet is undefeated,”  The Flint native said in an interview with ESPN MMA.

The social media slander and the age difference aren’t going to stop Perry from entering the ring against Tyson. But, at this stage, it is just wishful thinking. Getting over the first hurdle, Jake Paul, wouldn’t be an easy task. After all, he has built his reputation around knocking out MMA veterans. Will Mike Perry be next in line? Or, will ‘The Platinum’ defy the Jake Paul curse? Let us know in the comment section below.
