“They Risk Their Lives, Let’s Give Them Some Respect”: While Hyping Up Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia, Deontay Wilder Requests Fans to Stop Stealing the “F**King PPVs”

The upcoming lightweight bout between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis is one of the year’s most anticipated fights. Both the lightweights are the top prospects in the weight division. And this is a fight of great importance to both boxers. Garcia and Davis have left no stone unturned in the fight’s buildup. And the hype is evidently seen in the atmosphere created by the fans worldwide. But this fight is making news for many reasons. And one of those reasons is the PPV drama for this fight. And it seems like this drama ahead of the fight has caught the attention of a former heavyweight champion.

Deontay Wilder recently sent a serious message to all the fans as the fight draws close. And he showed anger with the PPV stealing and pirated streaming of the fight.

At the Benavidez Vs. Plant main event, Wilder talked about the upcoming lightweight bout. And he shared his honest opinion on whatever is prevailing in the day leading to the fight. Primarily, Wilder talked about the PPV issue of the fight and what the fans should do instead.

Wilder said, “Tank Vs. Ryan is going to be a hell of a fight. That’s one of the fights you gotta be able to see. You can’t just watch it on TV. You can’t wait to hear about it.”

Further, the 37-year-old went on to call out those who are involved in pirated streaming of the fight.

He said, “Stop stealing the fucking paper views. Pass the paper views. We can’t do numbers if everybody is pirating the goddamn paper views.”

 

Wilder also gave the reason why he thinks the numbers for the fight are going to be down.

He added, “Why the numbers are down, and they’re gonna be down cuz everybody is stealing them; these fighters work very hard. They risk their lives. Let’s give them some respect. ” 

The fans would agree that Wilder has a valid point, and the admirers of the sport should do what’s in their strength to respect the boxers involved who put their bodies on the line to put on a good show for the fans.

The hype of the fights is conspicuous in the ticket prices for the fight. The value of the seats for the fight is exorbitantly high, and it has already caused a stir among fans.

It is no secret that Gervonta Davis is the A side going into this fight. Garcia steps inside the ring as the underdog. When ‘The Bronze Bomber’ was asked if Garcia could make up for the lack of experience he has.

He replied, “At this point of time, while we’re talking I hope he’s training.” It would be interesting to see what prevails in this sensational clash of these lightweight titans.
