Boxing Hall of Famer Floyd Mayweather has established a reputation for himself as the most lucrative boxer in the sport thanks to his phenomenally popular pay-per-view fights. He is an excellent fighter as well as a marketing genius who is adept at selling his fights. In 2007, during the press conference for his fight with Ricky Hatton, he was in the midst of a jeering crowd. But he was fully aware of how to distinguish himself in the rival zone.

The Ricky Hatton vs. Floyd Mayweather press conference took place in Hatton’s native United Kingdom. Thousands of people turned out to show their support for Hatton. Mayweather was constantly heckled by the crowd. The ‘Pretty Boy’ of boxing, however, had his own overarching storyline.

Furthermore, Mayweather was aware of Hatton’s ardent love for the Manchester United football club.  He initially showed up wearing a black t-shirt and jacket, but later he was spotted donning a Manchester United jersey. He was standing tall in hostile territory and uttered these words in utter fury: “I am the lion, I’m the king of the jungle, this is called Manchester Mayweather.”
