“This Was Like a Movie Scene”: Mike Tyson Structuring Francis Ngannou’s Training Regime for Boxing Leaves Fans in Awe

Francis Ngannou’s entry into boxing is nothing short of a blockbuster Hollywood movie! And his fight against Anthony Joshua, scheduled for March 8, is the second installation in the series. In the meantime, Mike Tyson preparing a training routine for Francis Ngannou in a clip shared on social media gave fans the same vibe. 

Popularly, the former heavyweight champion of the world trained ‘The Predator’ for his fight against Tyson Fury, which nearly caused an upset. So, as Ngannou gears up for his second boxing match, Tyson is with him to get the job done this time. However, before the fight, coach Mohamed Al-Awadi shared the clip of Mike and Ngannou on Instagram yesterday. 

Mike Tyson claims boxing is a lonely sport

In the clip, Mike can be seen discussing the training routine with a trainer as the trainer details what Ngannou would do in the gym for the day. However, Mike had some important adjustments to the routine. “No, that’s not what he [is trying to] do. He is [trying to] hit the bag for more rounds than that, and he [going to] do 12 in here [ring] alone,” said Mike. 

Later, speaking to Ngannou, Tyson says, “It’s a lonely sport, buddy. Even in a room with a lot of people, this is a lonely game.” The whole clip felt like a scene straight out of ‘Rocky’ or ‘Creed,’ something the fans were very preceptive of. So, the fans turned to the comment section of the Instagram post to express their awe at Mike and Ngannou’s clip. 

Fans relieved with Tyson’s presence in Ngannou’s camp

After Ngannou’s first fight, many credited Tyson for giving Ngannou the edge against Fury. So, seeing the partnership continue, some celebrated the duo, while others expressed relief that Mike was there. 

One user suggested the clip was nothing less than a movie. The user wrote, “This was like a movie scene.” It’s especially reminiscent of the time Rocky Balboa trained Adonis Creed in the first installation of ‘Creed.’

Another user seemed happy with Mike’s presence in Ngannou’s training camp, as the user wrote, “Iron Mike🔥.” Notably, Mike hasn’t taken any fighter under his wing after retirement as he did for Ngannou.

The next user could only express his excitement with a series of emojis. The user wrote, “😍😍😍😍.” Not just this user – but most of the boxing world is eager to see what Ngannou has to offer with Mike’s guidance.

Meanwhile, someone else claimed without Mike Tyson, Ngannou’s other trainers were setting him up for failure. “They were setting him up for failure… good thing Tyson was there,” commented the user. 

Similar to a previous comment, even this user resorted to emojis to express their thoughts. “🔥🔥👏👏❤️❤️,” the user wrote.
