After vanquishing a 58-year-old Holyfield, former UFC champion Vitor Belfort seems to have fallen in love with ‘sweet science’ and is already targeting some of the biggest names from today’s boxing. He called out Jake Paul right after his win, which turned out to be a $30 million ‘winner take all’ offer. Although ‘The Problem Child’ hasn’t responded yet, Belfort seems to have planned more than that.

His list of plans is long, inclusive of a potential fight against the P4P king Canelo Alvarez. Yes, Belfort wants to have a shot at the Mexican star for a $40 million ‘winner take all’ fight. In the post-fight press conference of his latest Triller showdown, ‘The Phenom’ detailed how administrators threw in lucrative offers after he had vanquished ‘The Real Deal’ Holyfield.

Vitor Belfort said, “He raised five for Jake Paul and they say Canelo is 40 million.”

“Yes ($30 million for Jake Paul and $40 million for Canelo). How can they say no to that? Winner takes all”

The idea may intrigue several people to see how Belfort would fare against Canelo Alvarez. However, the Mexican star may not be interested. Boasting the WBA, WBC, and WBO 168 lbs titles, Alvarez will face Caleb Plant for the IBF belt in the coming days. So, he seems focused on serious boxing bouts, and facing an ex-UFC champion can rightly not be on his hit list.

In the past, Alvarez has voiced disregard towards the exhibitionists and celebrity boxers. Adding to that, Canelo is also a cash cow of boxing and doesn’t need to rely on anyone for hefty paydays. Thus, the recent Trier offer hasn’t evoked the P4P king to respond.

Aged 44, Vitor Belfort cannot consider sticking around the ropes for a long time, unless he plans to do exhibitions. Meanwhile, Jake Paul has already begun taking a bit more serious bouts, which clearly validates Belfort to step up. However, Tyron Woodley had exposed severe flaws in Paul’s game, and Belfort can capitalize on those.

Thus, Jake Paul may or may not want to test himself against ‘The Phenom’ at this point. Residing in the heavyweight division, Belfort has achieved a lot in his MMA career. Hence, he can also hang up his gloves at this age, but can also aim towards dominating the boxing chain in the future.
