In what is considered one of the greatest combat crossovers. Mayweather faced wrestling behemoth Big Show at WrestleMania 24 in the year 2008. Unlike other wrestling guest stars, who projected themselves as heroes, Mayweather had no qualms playing the villain.

Audience members booed at Mayweather as he entered the ring. Moreover, the viewers found his ridiculously long, grey flared pants a hilarious addition.

A dramatic turn of events set the stage for the match. Mayweather broke Big Show’s nose at WWE’s No Way Out event in February 2008.

A modern rendition of David and Goliath was what commenced.

The bout took place at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. Viewers were quick to notice the stark size difference between the contenders. However, Mayweather pleasantly shocked viewers with his technical expertise.

Finally, Mayweather used a pair of brass knuckles to secure a victory against Big Show.

Floyd Mayweather was not the only boxer in WrestleMania

There were many other famous names from boxing who took part in WrestleMania.

Former heavyweight champion ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson was a part of WrestleMania 14 in 1998. Tyson who was fresh out of his 1997 Ear Biting controversy, arrived as a special outside enforcer.

Similarly, boxing legend, Muhammad Ali was also a guest star at WrestleMania 1. The champion was a guest referee at the inaugural event that took place at Madison Square Garden.
