Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather might have disappointed some of his fans back 2021 after he refused to take a picture. Moreover, the reason why Mayweather denied the young fan this opportunity might be even more disappointing. The former 5-division champ dismissed the young fan because of his painted nails.

This happened when ‘Money’ made an appearance for a game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Memphis Grizzlies. The teenage fan approached Mayweather when he stated that he didn’t take pictures with guys who had painted nails.

You got painted nails, I don’t take pictures with guys with no painted nails,” said Mayweather as he pushed aside the fan. Following this, the fan was stunned at Mayweather’s response and couldn’t believe that he rejected him for a trivial reason. “Floyd doesn’t want to take a picture with me because my nails are painted. Bruh, really?!” said the fan.

Painted nails have been a fashion statement for athletes for a long time. It is widely known that former NBA superstar Dennis Rodman and UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya sport painted nails and are well within their right to do so. However, although Mayweather might not agree with these fashion choices, it was certainly unsportsmanly for him to deny the young fan a photo.

Andrew Tate reveals he got an offer to face Floyd Mayweather

Former controversial kickboxer and social media sensation, Andrew Tate, revealed that he was offered to face Floyd Mayweather. In an interview with Rob Moore, Tate was asked if would be willing to face Mayweather in the ring. Despite dismissing the possibility of a match, ‘Top G’ stated that he was already offered the fight. “He is one of my heroes so I couldn’t bring myself to do it. He’s retired and he’s small and I’m a lot bigger than him. I wouldn’t get knocked out, I’d be totally fine.” said Tate.
