In a career spread over two decades, Silva captivated every fight lover’s attention and made MMA one of the prime combat sports verticals. Also, at one point, he was the biggest UFC star, who almost ruled the entire promotion with his slick fighting skills. However, the Brazilian mixed martial artist was never the highest-paid fighter in the UFC.

In his vast UFC run, ‘The Spider’ bagged extensive paychecks ranging from $30,000 to $750,000. In fact, he took a guaranteed purse of $750,000 twice in his career. His biggest paychecks came when he faced the current middleweight champ of the UFC, Israel Adesanya, and the contender Uriah Hall.

Silva undoubtedly made a massive amount of money at the UFC. And also with his sponsorship deals, fight bonuses, and PPV shares, the fighting legend banked sublime amounts throughout.

But more than the money and fame, the love for the sport kept Silva going. The 46-year-old always enjoyed his time in the octagon and it was certainly visible in his performances. With his staggering performances, ‘The Spider’ unquestionably inspired a generation of budding fighters, and even today, he looks to do the same.
