Multiple athletes took to social media to pay homage to fallen veterans on Memorial Day. Meanwhile, former WBC interim titleholder, Ryan Garcia, also joined in solidarity to give his respects to soldiers who died in combat.

In a tweet, Garcia mentioned that the soldiers who put their lives in life for ‘strangers’ deserve praise and respect. Moreover, he also took the opportunity to thank soldiers for everything that they do.

And, Garcia also emphasized the fact that soldiers risk their lives every day to protect the people they don’t personally know.

Ryan Garcia was not the only boxer who paid homage

Ryan Garcia was not the only boxer who gave his respects on Memorial Day. Former WBO junior lightweight titleholder, Jamel Herring, also showed his solemn support for the fallen military personnel.

Notably, Herring was a soldier who enlisted with the United States Marine Corps in 2003. He served in the Marines from 2003 to 2012. In fact, he earned the rank of Sergeant in the Marines.

TopRank posted a picture of Herring while also honoring the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Moreover, Herring also paid his respects in the comments. He mentioned that he was truly grateful to the countless brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice during and before his time in service.

Many other athletes also paid their respects

There were many other athletes who gave their homage.

WWE superstar, John Cena, urged people to never forget the sacrifice that the soldiers made to uphold the values of democracy.

Similarly, WWE legend, The Undertaker also reminded the people of his country that the ultimate sacrifice of the soldiers is a debt that can never be repaid. Moreover, he urged everyone to remember them every day and not just on Memorial Day.

In the same vein, WWE Triple Crown winner AJ Styles mentioned that the common people are afforded the luxury of spending time with their families because of the soldier’s sacrifices.

The NBA teams, Memphis Grizzlies, and Golden State Warriors also took to social media to honor fallen servicemen.

Similarly, the MLB team, Los Angeles Dodgers, also honored the brave men and women who put down their lives in the line of duty.

Retired mixed martial arts fighter, Tim Kennedy posted a series of tweets honoring fallen soldiers. Moreover, he quoted the United States General George S. Patton in thanking military personnel.
