Fortnite – Bugha throwback cup

Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf played his first offline event with the Fortnite World Cup. The young player had the skills to make his mark and he did not fail. A day before July 28, 2019, Bugha was just an ordinary kid who loved Fortnite. No one could have predicted that he’d end up being a millionaire the next day.

The three champions will be hosting separate tournaments. The cup will have two rounds and players from all competitive regions can take part.

The top 100 players from the first round advance to the second round. Players from NA East; Bugha’s own region though are in for some hard luck. Well not really though, because only 99 players will make it through from the NA East region, and Bugha will be waiting for them. The tournament also is confirmed to be region-locked, that is to say, a player may participate from one region and not more.

The Bugha cup will take place on July 31. The winner will get a grand total of $100,000 as prize money.

Scoring system:

  • Victory Royale: 8 points

  • Top 5: 2 points
  • Top 10: 2 points
  • Top 11 through 40: 1 point

Aqua and Nyhrox throwback cup

Aqua and Nyhrox were the first-ever Fortnite dual champions. They, too, are getting their throwback cups and the tournament is open to all regions. Most of the match stipulations are similar to Bugha’s.

Both the cups are a great way to honor the respective hosts’ cup victories. All the hosts have had a fair share of memories during the event and would be looking forward to making many more of them with this venture.
