Things are stirring up in Verdansk as we gear up for a possible in-game reveal for Call of Duty 2020. This reveal has been rumored for quite some time now. Popular insider news provider Tom Henderson had tweeted this back in June.
According to the dataminers, we'll be getting some kind of reveal with the in-game events happening in Warzone, so if that doesn't happen, then who knows.

This obviously took the players by surprise as you can see from their reaction. The message just pops up in-game, out of nowhere. It reads ‘Know your history’ and the Russian text reads ‘Condemned to repeat’.
This is most likely taken from the famous quote from George Santayana that says, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
Well, the new title is rumored to be ‘Black Ops: Cold War.’ This could mean that we will be taking a trip back in time to the Cold War era (Isn’t it obvious?).
But there are multiple clues in Verdansk that already point towards the new game’s arrival. First, we have the nukes in the bunkers. Somehow, there is going to be a huge explosion in Verdansk that will reveal the upcoming title. Then, we have the ringing telephones with cryptic messages on them. The opening up of the Stadium and the arrival of a loot-filled train could also be linked to this.
COD 2020 leaks
According to the leaks, we already know all the codenames for the multiplayer and campaign maps. As we reported earlier, the multiplayer maps are likely called “black sea”, “cartel”, “KGB”, “Miami”, “Moscow”, “Satellite”, “Tank”, “Tundra”.
Take a look at the tweet below that reveals all the campaign maps.

This was reportedly datamined from ‘The Red Door’ that showed up on the Xbox Store a few weeks back. We also already know that the new title will not have a separate BR game and will be integrated with Warzone. Apparently, 4 different map zones are coming for Warzone’s Verdansk.
