Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is underway and Rebirth Island is the new hot drop in Warzone. More Season 1 content is upcoming and players can expect a big patch update in January 2021.

Apart from bug fixes and weapons tuning, the patch might also contain new Zombies content. However, earlier today, Treyarch announced a small update for the BOCW multiplayer. This update brings a fresh new playlist to the game.

This means there will be a change of modes in the multiplayer playlist. Since it is the holiday season, some maps might feature the theme. As for Warzone, there are no reports of any updates in Verdansk.

Below is the list of all the new modes that were added in this new playlist update.

  • 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only
  • Face-Off
  • Raid 24/7
  • Nuketown Holiday 24/7
  • 2v2 Gunfight
  • Prop Hunt

The 3v3 snipers only mode is a first for Black Ops Cold War. Players will team up and fight to take out their opponents using only snipers. Capturing the middle flag with the countdown timer will also mean a round win.

Nuketown Holiday 24/7 will see the new Nuketown map get a holiday touch and modes like Kill Confirmed and Team Deathmatch will top the list.

Prop Hunt is another all-time favorite holiday mode. Players in this mode disguise themselves as random objects and hide around the map. The other team has to seek out these ‘objects’ and shoot to kill. Prop Hunt remains one of the best non-competitive modes.

Face-Off mode makes a comeback in Call of Duty BOCW

Face Off made its debut way back in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. In 2019, we saw the mode break havoc between players in the Modern Warfare reboot. Now it is BOCW’s turn to host this popular mode in its holiday playlist.

Face Off allows players to get into teams of three and play modes like Domination, TDM, and Kill Confirmed, on Gunfight map. Therefore, the matches are very rapid and mostly played in close quarters. Furthermore, scorestreaks are off in this mode.

Without support from scorestreaks, the game relies upon the aim and accuracy of the players. Also, flags in Domination will require less time to capture in this mode.

This playlist update is now live inside BOCW. Do not forget to check out the Raid 24/7 mode for more intensive action on an all-time favorite CoD map.
