Call of Duty’s battle royale is facing a backlash from the community for the lack of new content. This saw several high-profile streamers walking out while others continued to raise the issue. Right around the first week of December, Activision had made a major announcement of the biggest content drop with season 1 that also merged Call of Duty Warzone with Black ops Cold War. This move was seen as a welcome addition to the game that had been stagnating for some time now.
This changed the game on its head by adding a plethora of new content like a new BR map, weapons and a new Rebirth Island. The addition of Rebirth Island with a trio mode was a positive move that fans really enjoyed.
In a surprising move, the gaming studio revamped the island map and replaced the trio mode with a quad that sent shock-waves through the community.

The recent changes to the Call of Duty Warzone not appreciated
Reddit users were puzzled by the recent change that saw the removal of trio mode from Rebirth Island. The community was already in love with the game mode and the meta that revolved around three players. This sudden change to the game and relatively shrinking the map down fetched negative reactions from the fans.
A post made in the R/CODWarzone section saw disgruntled players discussing the issue.
