The Call of Duty: Warzone community is tired of the seeing their favorite Battle Royale title in a hot mess. In the past few months, players have had to suffer rampant cheating because of the lack of an anti-cheat. Along with that, the developers have revealed no plans to change that soon, and it looks like the popular Battle Royale game’s horrible situation will continue for a long time.

To make matters worse, players have found a new broken mechanic following the arrival of Season 5. Fans recently noticed that the game’s latest perk allows players to wall hack, which literally makes them a legal hacker. However, the community has also found out a massive advantage that fans will have while using it.

Warzone players with Combat Scout unaffected by flashes

Season 5 introduced a lot of new weapons for players to use on Verdansk. Other than that, the developers at Raven Software have also added in a new perk called the Combat Scout. The perk allows players to highlight enemies if they damage them slightly. With the Combat Scout, players can know the location of any opponent even if they hide behind cover. Additionally, many of the walls used for covers don’t prevent bullets from passing through, which makes this perk highly overpowered in the game.

However, to make matters worse, it seems this perk is also quite immune to flashes. Enemies use flashes to impair the vision of players while attacking them. But, with Combat Scout, players can correctly see the position of opponents if they damage them and become highlighted. This renders flashes to be useless in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Fans unhappy about the Combat Scout in Season 5

The Call of Duty community had berated the developers for adding Combat Scout in Season 5. Many of them considered this perk to be a legal way to wall hack in the game. Now, with its immunity to flashes, it seems like players using this will have a massive advantage over the others. Because of this perk, players will be forced to join the meta or use items that can counter it.

It looks like the developers at Raven Software have messed up pretty badly with the Season 5. The game’s latest content update should have provided fans with a respite while the developers fixed the hacking problems. However, with the arrival of Combat Scout, the community’s anger has increased drastically, and players want to see a fix for it soon.
