Capcom E3 2021: Resident Evil 4 Remake, Village DLC, and More to Expect from Event

Over the years, Capcom has solidified its place as one of the largest gaming publishers in the world. From Resident Evil to Devil May Cry, it has published some of the most popular gaming franchises ever.

E3 2021 is right around the corner, and it will take place digitally from June 12-15. Alongside the likes of Xbox, Nintendo, Warner Bros., and others, Capcom will also take part in the event, and will certainly announce some new projects.

Here’s everything that Capcom might reveal at E3 2021:

Capcom might announce DLC for Resident Evil Village

Resident Evil Village released on May 7, 2021, and has already sold over 4 million units. From gameplay to story, the developers left no stone unturned to ensure the game is a breathtaking experience.

Resident Evil 7, after becoming a massive hit, received several post-launch story DLCs. Hence, there’s a high possibility that Capcom will tread a similar path for Resident Evil Village. A Gold Edition of the latest title might hit the stores in 2022, containing the original game and DLCs.

Apart from Resident Evil Village, there are plenty of games in the franchise that Capcom can focus on. These include an upcoming title named Resident Evil Outbreak and a remake for Resident Evil 4. While the former will be the series’ annual release in Q4 2021, and as per leaks, the latter might hit the stores in Q4 2022.

Other games that might steal the show at E3 2021

2021 and 2022 are going to be colossal for Capcom. There are many games that are currently in the works and will release in the next two years. Some of the most anticipated names on this list are Dragon’s Dogma 2, Street Fighter 6, and a brand-new sci-fi IP named Pragmata.

Dragon’s Dogma released in 2012, and was one of the biggest hits on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Even though there are no official updates on a sequel, Dragon Dogma’s creator Hideaki Itsuno has confirmed that he’s working on his next game. Many believe that this title is none other than Dragon Dogma 2.

Similarly, it is safe to assume that Capcom will continue the Street Fighter franchise with Street Fighter 6. As per rumors, this game might release in 2022, and E3 2021 is the ideal platform to announce it.

Lastly, Pragmata will most probably release in 2023. Regardless, it has one of the most anticipated sci-fi games lately, following its reveal at Sony’s Future of Gaming in 2020.
