Resident Evil 7, after becoming a massive hit, received several post-launch story DLCs. Hence, there’s a high possibility that Capcom will tread a similar path for Resident Evil Village. A Gold Edition of the latest title might hit the stores in 2022, containing the original game and DLCs.

Apart from Resident Evil Village, there are plenty of games in the franchise that Capcom can focus on. These include an upcoming title named Resident Evil Outbreak and a remake for Resident Evil 4. While the former will be the series’ annual release in Q4 2021, and as per leaks, the latter might hit the stores in Q4 2022.

Other games that might steal the show at E3 2021

2021 and 2022 are going to be colossal for Capcom. There are many games that are currently in the works and will release in the next two years. Some of the most anticipated names on this list are Dragon’s Dogma 2, Street Fighter 6, and a brand-new sci-fi IP named Pragmata.

Dragon’s Dogma released in 2012, and was one of the biggest hits on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Even though there are no official updates on a sequel, Dragon Dogma’s creator Hideaki Itsuno has confirmed that he’s working on his next game. Many believe that this title is none other than Dragon Dogma 2.

Similarly, it is safe to assume that Capcom will continue the Street Fighter franchise with Street Fighter 6. As per rumors, this game might release in 2022, and E3 2021 is the ideal platform to announce it.
