“About to Take a 2 Day Nap”: Joseph Parker Displaying Knockout Power During Media Workout Ahead of Deontay Wilder Fight Fails to Impress Fans

New Zealand’s Joseph Parker is all set to take on the biggest fight of his career. On December 23, the Morecambe resident will enter the ring against Deontay Wilder after his October win over Simon Kean. He even poses a great threat to Wilder’s desire to fight Anthony Joshua in March of next year. 

Going into the Wilder fight, however, Parker is on the wrong end of public favor but seems confident about winning the fight regardless. However, before the clash of the heavyweights in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Parker appeared in the live media day workout. Despite a fantastic showcase of his skills, fans did not respond the way he might have wanted. 

Joseph Parker shows knockout shots

On Wednesday, Parker and the others turned up in Press Arena for their open workout session. So, Fight Hub TV shared a clip from Parker’s session with a caption that read, “Joseph Parker FLEXES on Deontay Wilder! Shows KO UPSET shots in workout ahead of fight!” In the clip, Parker can be seen throwing jabs and hooks.

Parker even showed off some of his quick footwork and feints while hitting the pads with his trainer. At the end of the clip, Parker took off his shirt, flexing his muscles for the cameras present in the arena. However, when the boxing world came upon the clip today, none of his moves managed to impress the community.

Deontay Wilder crowned the people’s winner

While the fight is yet to unfold, the clip that surfaced on YouTube today has most people convinced Wilder has the fight in the bag. The clip has already generated 30K views and nearly 300 comments.

One user labeled Wilder’s right hand as a missile, claiming ‘The Bronze Bomber’ would end the fight with that hand. “Wilder’s gonna flex that right missile hand straight to his face,” wrote the user. 

Another user dragged in Joe Joyce, claiming Joyce defeated Parker. So, it wouldn’t be a big deal for the Tuscaloosa native to do so as well. “Joyce stopped this guy. Wilder sends him to the shadow realm,” commented the user.

Someone else claimed Wilder would put Parker to sleep for a long time. “That man is about to take a 2-day nap, lol,” the user wrote.

Even the next user echoed the same sentiment, claiming Parker would get knocked out. The user wrote, “Parkers getting laid clean out.”

While others predicted Parker’s inevitable loss, this guy came out in his support. “Parker has the best chance to cause an upset on this card,” wrote the user, implying that with the cards so heavily in Wilder’s favor, a Parker win could cause a major upset.
