Amir Khan claims Terence Crawford doesn’t need to fight Canelo Alvarez
While appearing in an interview with ES News, Elie Seckbach questioned Khan about his thoughts on a potential Canelo vs. Crawford fight. Having fought both fighters during his career, Khan quickly responded with some advice. Khan suggested that size is a big deal in a boxing match, so he wouldn’t advise Crawford to take the fight.
“Size makes a big difference, man. Even though Crawford’s my friend, I wouldn’t advise him to take that fight,” Khan told ES News. He went on to justify his advice by claiming that the fight would take too much out of the 40-0 undefeated boxer. Khan also added that ‘Bud’ doesn’t need to fight Canelo. “He doesn’t need to do anything. He doesn’t need to fight Canelo,” said Khan.
Demetrius Andrade’s Coach warns Crawford
Amir Khan isn’t alone in thinking Crawford would have a hard time with Canelo Alvarez. Even Demetrius Andrade’s Coach, Andre Rozier, thinks weight classes are important. While appealing in a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, Rozier advised Crawford to leave Canelo alone. “Leave the big man alone. Weight classes do count,” said Rozier.

He went on to suggest that the only places where weight doesn’t count are the streets and BKB. Rozier also added that Crawford should only consider moving up weight classes if he seriously wanted the fight while warning Crawford it wouldn’t go well. “Do not, I repeat, do not consider unless you just wanna make that fight, Canelo. It’s not gonna be good,” said Rozier.
