Developing a style that understands his distance and his jab. Even though he is calling out the big boys, I would like to see him sharpening up a bit before he jumps in there with a fighter like Devin Haney,” stated Rosada.

It appears the retired boxer has the best interest of Garcia at heart. His advice appears to be quite coherent as ‘King Ry’, has only been victorious once since his last defeat and there is hardly time for a tune-up fight. The fight between Garcia and Haney seems almost on the verge of being made.

According to the promoter of Oscar De La Hoya, the talks for their fight have commenced. It would be fair to say that one may very well see an announcement soon. Although it is not official, rumors are spreading about it taking place in March. “So I think Ryan Garcia versus Haney, that’s the fight to make, um, I’ve already talked to his people to Haney’s people, and uh, we’re going to get this done hopefully uh sooner than later,” said De La Hoya.
