Prince Jackson and His Mission

Mike Tyson, the former boxing champ, started the conversation by acknowledging the stark disparities in society, saying, “You probably have crazier stories than I do, to be honest. We took a lot of college kids to Skid Row and really underfunded areas, and there, a lot of students were very privileged. When you start having a conversation with a guy that dwarfs you, you’re like, ‘Oh, what are you doing here?’ You see some women and her mother, beautiful and young, and they’re homeless, with nowhere to go. It’s crazy, it’s so eye-opening for them.

Prince Jackson chimed in, sharing some of the harrowing incidents he witnessed during their charitable endeavors, such as handing out personal hygiene bags. He recounted, “On two separate occasions, one guy tried to run us off the road like we were on the sidewalk. He climbed the curb in his truck, and we had to get out of the way. And then, another time, a man literally got stabbed while taking a bag from us. Somebody came up behind him and hit him like three times. But the craziest thing was, he didn’t react. He walked off like he was fine. We asked if he was okay, and he just said, ‘Yeah, I’m good,’ and then walked away. It was the craziest thing.”

DJ Whoo Kid, the Co-Host of the show added his perspective, emphasizing the shocking disparity between the richest city in America and the dire conditions on its streets. “They’re defecating on the streets.”

Prince Jackson grew up with certain values that shaped his understanding of the world at large. He remains dedicated towards reducing the wealth gap that his country is currently grappling with.

The Young Jackson’s Core Values

Mike Tyson raised the important question of America’s ranking in terms of happiness, to which DJ Whoo Kid responded, “We’re 15th,” highlighting the incongruity of such conditions in a wealthy nation. They discuss about the pointlessness of it all, being wealthy has nothing to do with the happiness index of a country. Prince Jackson emphasized the importance of charitable endeavors and non-profits in bridging the wealth gap in America. He noted how the country has one of the biggest wealth disparities. According to WorldData, the country is the 9th wealthiest nation in the world.
