Excitement and anticipation have reached fever pitch as promoter Eddie Hearn has responded to Dillian Whyte’s expressed desire for a rematch against Anthony Joshua. The British promoter wasted no time after announcing that an official contract would be sent to Whyte by the end of the day, signaling a potential showdown between the two heavyweight contenders.
Whyte has been vocal about his desire to face Joshua once again after their first match back in 2015. Despite recent reports claiming that Whyte rejected the fight or made unreasonable demands, he has categorically denied these allegations. Moreover, he recently revealed his interest in facing the former champion as he looks to get back into title contention.

Dillian Whyte expresses interest in facing Anthony Joshua
In a recent interview, ‘The Body Snatcher’ stated that he is fully committed to taking on Joshua. He was also eager to discuss the fight after sending an email from Hearn outlining the offer. However, he revealed that there was no response from Hearn’s side, as reported by BoxingScene.
“I absolutely 100 percent want to fight AJ and called Eddie to discuss the offer but couldn’t get hold of him, I messaged him too. I didn’t hear back from him so I sent him an email to confirm I wanted the fight,” he said.
Upon hearing Whyte’s side of the story, Hearn wasted no time in contacting his handlers to confirm their acceptance of the rematch. Moreover, in response, Hearn assured Whyte that a contract would be sent promptly to lock the highly anticipated rematch.

Eddie Hearn revealed that he will be sending a final contract to Whyte’s team. He also expressed his eagerness for the fight to happen, echoing Joshua’s own desire for the rematch to take place on August 12th.
“They’ll have a contract today, we need to move at pace but if they’re serious that fight can 100 percent happen. It’s still the fight that AJ wants for August 12th so again. If Dillian is serious, that fight is going to happen,” he said.
